After what was easily the worst home performance under Gus Poyet, here is how the players got on individually...not very well as you might have imagined;

Vito Mannone – 5

Possibly at slight fault for both goals

Ondrej Celustka – 6

Instrumental in the creation of Johnson's goal, but missing on occasions at the back

Phil Bardsley – 5

Slow at the back and wasted much coming forward.

Wes Brown – 6

Sound enough game at the back.

John O'Shea – 5

Old legs showed against Spurs' physicality

Ki Sung-Yeung – 6 (MAN OF THE MATCH)

Was again our best player in midfield, spotting an eye for the pass well, but lacks decisive action coming forward.

Jack Colback – 4

Dwelled on the ball too long, offered no direction to create play.

Seb Larsson – 4

Slow and lacking of creativity.

Adam Johnson – 6

Took his goal well.

Jozy Altidore – 5

Good link-up play to set up Celustka's cross leading to Johnson's goal.

Steven Fletcher – 3

Never offered anything in attack, be it down to fitness, form or attitude.

Lee Cattermole – 6

Provided a needed bit of steel in the centre.

Fabio Borini – 6

Helped to open the attack up, but missed a good chance.

Emmanuele Giaccherini – 6

Showed genuine skills which we should look to accommodate a little better.
