Three home League games under the ownership of Stewart Donald and three home wins. Eight goals and just one conceded. Canny start I reckon.
After getting away with a dodgy penalty decision in the first half, Sunderland tore Scunthorpe apart in the remainder of the opening period. Goals from Max Power, Josh Maja (again!) and Chris Maguire ensured the result was in no doubt by the time the Lads returned after half time. And the second half was indeed a bit of a stroll. Nearly 30k fans were in the stands again - fantastic to see.
The manner of the win is easily the most pleasing. Seasoned Sunderland failures Bryan Oviedo and Lee Cattermole were at the heart of much of the good play, which - particularly for Cattermole - was something difficult to envisage some weeks ago.
We'll have plenty more reaction from this afternoon's triumph, but for now why not enjoy all three goals below. Credit to @SunderlandRed.
