Player Ratings: Better late than Never, unless its too late

Better late than never they say. It's not really though, is it. I mean what's the point in trying to get a train that you're an hour late for? In my experience, if you forget to give my wife a anniversary card it goes down much worse if you then buy one the following day and hand it over.

Perhaps the saying should extend to better late than never, unless it's too late. For Sunderland, it's obviously too late and so we obviously go and win. Suddenly I sit here thinking its not unthinkable that we end the season with four wins on the bounce to cap the most pointless amazing run of results in the history of football.

Anyway, speaking of better late than never, it's not too late to recap on the Lads' victory in vain over Hull, who we have almost dragged down with us as a result. Result. Have your say on who played well and who didn't - player ratings time.
