Player Ratings & Comments: Players dig in under difficult circumstances
This game will always be overshadowed by the farcical handling of Sunderland's Covid-19 impact.
I still can't get my head around the game going ahead. It is truly mental in the current situation that the EFL still don't have clear protocols relating to Covid despite having nine months to think about it, nevertheless Sunderland went into this game with eight first team players unavailable.
The game itself, despite the distruption, was similar to pre-Lee Johnson. Lots of possession, not a lot of penetration. A point in the end is probably a decent result considering the circumstances, and made even more acceptable with Lincoln and Hull both losing.
Now - player ratings time!
It's easy to take part, just select a rating for each player and leave a comment.
You do not have to complete either the rating or the comment box for all of the players, and you don't even have to fill the comment box, but we find it really interesting when you do!
