The shortlist for League One's Player of the Month award has been announced and Sunderland's Chris Maguire has been nominated.
Since his reinvigoration under Phil Parkinson, Maguire has turned from bit-part wide player to an all action attacking midfielder, influencing games from all areas of the park. He's quicker and sharper than he's ever been - despite being part of poor performances in the last three games.
During February he notched three assists and a whopping 23 key passes in a month which saw the Lads pick up 13 points from six games. Maguire was arguably the most influential player in that fantastic run which, unfortunately, has not carried into March and looking like ending our automatic promotion challenge.
