From 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and up to 133 mph no matter the terrain, this British beauty powered by an American giant is landing on US soil

Date:

19With mind-blowing performance, the Nomad 2 leaves all its competitors in the dust, which it kicks up with remarkable ease.

This all-terrain buggy is a beast you absolutely need to know about. It boasts one of the best power-to-weight ratios, a stunning off-road capability, and the ability to tow twice its weight with the optional winch, all starting at £68,000 (approximately 82 000 $). Who can top that?

Overpowered, and that’s it!

A structure 60% stiffer and featherweight for insane performance

With the redesigned tubular chassis of the Ariel Nomad 2, engineers have achieved not only a 60% increase in rigidity but also maintained an ultra-lightweight 715 kg. This lightness, a hallmark of Ariel vehicles, is a major advantage for delivering blistering acceleration, exceptional handling, and efficient fuel consumption. Built with enlarged tubes (up to 63.5 mm in diameter), the chassis retains exceptional strength while staying minimalist.

Designed to ensure optimal safety, it features a roll-over protection cage that provides enhanced protection in all circumstances. The chassis finish ensures durability suited to the most extreme environments. In short, this lightweight design, combined with its rigidity, makes the Nomad 2 the only vehicle truly approved as a genuine adventurer.

Under the Hood: 305 Horsepower and 518 Nm

At the heart of the Nomad 2 is a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine provided by Ford (ST), delivering up to 305 horsepower and an impressive 518 Nm of torque. Thanks to a three-level adjustable controller, drivers can select different power settings tailored to on-road or off-road conditions. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 133 mph, this buggy offers explosive performance.

On the transmission side, it features a 6-speed manual gearbox with a limited-slip differential for optimal traction. For those who prefer to keep their hands on the wheel, an optional paddle-shift sequential gearbox, inherited from the Atom 4 model, is available.

A thoroughbred that runs on gas and burns its passengers’ calories!

More Numbers (Because That’s What Great Cars Are All About)

Ready for Long Journeys

With a 70-liter fuel tank, the Nomad 2 increases its capacity by 40% compared to its predecessor. This upgrade provides an impressive range of nearly 885 km in mixed driving conditions (though no one buys this kind of vehicle for mixed use). Nevertheless, drivers can envision extended adventures in remote environments.

This buggy isn’t afraid of extreme climates: it’s equipped with an oversized radiator, perfect for handling scorching heat and hostile conditions.

Options Galore

Ariel’s vision is to offer extreme customization of the Nomad 2, allowing each owner to create a unique piece built to their exact specifications. The British brand offers over 100 options (we won’t list them all here). Buyers can choose from specific suspension configurations (Bilstein, Ohlins), carbon seats, or even a reinforced braking system derived from the Ariel Atom 4.

For the boldest adventures, accessories such as a 1,588 kg winch, specialized off-road tires, and removable waterproof storage boxes enable fun even in water!

By combining endurance and performance, the Nomad 2 proves that it’s not just an off-road buggy but a true thrill machine designed to delight its passengers.
