Is the wait for the Ferrari 296 Versione Speciale dragging on? No worries—Novitec already has a solution for the most impatient enthusiasts.
The German tuner has taken the 296 GTS to a whole new level with its N-Largo kit, a muscular transformation that combines a widened body, increased power, and an aesthetic that flirts with the look of a hypercar. But is it really better than the stock version?

A 296 GTS with a hypercar look…
From the very first glance, the Ferrari 296 GTS N-Largo looks far more aggressive than the standard model. Novitec has widened the car by 12 cm, giving it a more imposing stance and an undeniably extreme look. The carbon fiber body kit, designed by Vittorio Strosek, includes wider fenders, a redesigned hood with air ducts, and a reworked front spoiler to optimize aerodynamics. The modifications don’t stop there. At the rear, a massive diffuser and a redesigned wing improve aerodynamic downforce, while the Inconel exhaust—optionally plated in 999 gold—promises a sound that matches the car’s striking appearance. To further enhance its aggressive stance, the N-Largo sits on custom Novitec NF11 NL wheels, forged by Vossen, with 21-inch rims at the front and 22-inch at the rear, available in no less than 72 colors.
…and hypercar-level performance
Under the hood, Novitec didn’t just focus on looks. The 2.9-liter twin-turbo hybrid V6 sees its power jump to 856 horsepower, compared to 830 for the standard model. Optimized intake and a new exhaust system unlock a few extra ponies, making this 296 GTS even more explosive. By the way, don’t you think that with this Novitec exhaust, this “small” V6 sounds a lot like a V12? This power boost dangerously brings the N-Largo closer to its direct rival, the Lamborghini Temerario, while still staying true to the balance between performance and hybridization that defines the 296. And to handle all that power, Novitec has revised the suspension, lowering the ride height by 35 mm. However, a front lift system allows the nose to rise by 40 mm to avoid unpleasant surprises on speed bumps.
An ultra-exclusive model
As always, Novitec doesn’t do things halfway and offers near-unlimited customization. The interior can be fully reworked with premium materials like Alcantara and leather, in the color of the client’s choice. Every detail can be tailored to meet the expectations of even the most demanding Ferrari enthusiasts. Of course, this build comes at a cost, and the N-Largo won’t be accessible to everyone. But for those who want an even more radical 296 GTS before the official arrival of the Versione Speciale in April, this Novitec transformation is a pretty convincing alternative—and above all, the best way to get a more extreme version of the 296. Because to get one, you’ll need an allocation directly from Ferrari, and that’s almost mission impossible…
